DESIGNER

Exempt - Design Engineering

Reports to: Engineering Director

DUTIES: Perform varied engineering and design functions which include calculations, preliminary and final layout, material selection, application and customer support. Contribute original design solutions to satisfy problem statements; assist customers with problems regarding installation and operation of valves. Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Two to five years experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong computer skills required; CAD knowledge essential, Unigraphics preferred. Must possess strong mathematical and interpersonal skills; mechanical abilities; detail oriented; ability to follow precise directions and instructions. Must meet attendance and punctuality requirements for position.

EDUCATION: B.S.M.E.

WORK HOURS: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. / Monday - Friday

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; talk; hear; stand; frequent walking and climbing stairs. Physical effort consists of occasional lifting or moving of average weights, or expending equivalent effort pulling or pushing.
